Salamander hiking area Losenheim

wandergebiet.jpgThe detachable modern Salamander chairlift in Losenheim transports you from an altitude of 840 m to 1210 m, to the "Faden Sattel", in just a few minutes.

Enjoy the ride and feel at one with nature - with more than 80 km of hiking trails and alpine tracks Puchberg is considered one of the finest hiking regions in Lower Austria. No limits are placed on your wanderlust here. The magnificent panoramic view down into the Puchberg basin is also very seductive.

The mountain station is the starting point for walks across the entire Schneeberg range or the Maumau meadow as far as the Schoberalm pastures and the Öhler mountain.

Enjoy the tranquillity as you hike through beautiful scenery and delight at the blooming mountain flowers. Now and again you may come across chamois, ibex or red deer. Come and spend a relaxing day hiking in Puchberg am Schneeberg!
