Fischerhütte of the ÖTK

Fisherman's hut at 2049m©

Your stay
The Fischerhütte at 2,049 meters above sea level is Lower Austria's highest mountain hut and only a few steps away from the highest point in the country, the Klosterwappen (2,076m). Lower Austria's peak of hospitality is easier to reach than you might think: 60 strenuous or 80 leisurely minutes' walk separate it from the summit station of the Schneebergbahn cable car. If you prefer a more challenging hike, choose the 1,482 meters in altitude from the Weichtalhaus in the Höllental valley between Schneeberg and Rax, where visitors are rewarded with an incomparable view and delicious cuisine at the Fischerhütte.
Opening hours: probably open from mid-May to November
Overnight accommodation (beds / campsites): 10 / 36
Beds can be booked online on the website.
NOTE:
The Fischerhut ONLY accepts reservations via its partner Huts-Holiday! Please register for overnight stays under this link: http://bit.ly/fihuereservation
